South Korea, as other countries, emerges today after the devastating pass of COVID-19. Previously, it became more known to the world having been multi awarded for its audiovisual production Parasite and its Director, Bong Joon-ho; today, its hope lies primarily in the internal market.

Indefatigable defender of author’s rights, Bong Joon-ho – current member and former President of DGK – Directors Guild of Korea – has positioned his country within sight of the world, after the success of Parasite, achieving the first Oscar for Best Movie for a non English speaking film, and the first four Oscar awards for the country.
It is important to highlight that the acclaimed director, former president of the Directors Guild of Korea, has come struggling for a fair remuneration for directors and audiovisual screenwriters of the region, as Author´s Right has not become law in the country yet.
Today, and after South Korea´s struggle against COVID-19 which affected different geographical areas, the country is recovering, slowly going back to normal in their habits, and offering hope to the world, showing the battle against the virus can be withstood.
